  • I started my career at Anderson Consulting (now Accenture) working on projects focused on process and change transformation of their people, process and tools, and through the client engagements found a passion for procurement. I moved next to the Global Procurement Group at Microsoft, and developed skills in specific types of contracts, primarily technology and contingent workforce. I then moved to Washington Mutual Bank, leading business process outsourcing and found that partnering with suppliers enabled a different type of service model. My next move took me into a the industry of Financial Services / Insurance at The Standard as the lead for their procurement organization. In this role, I expanded my experience to Third Party Risk Governance, Supplier Relationship Management and Procurement Technology Transformation (in addition to sourcing, contract lifecycle management, procure to pay workflow and compliance monitoring. I then spent a year at Atlassian where I was the Head of Supplier Management and Supplier Risk. In this role, I was able to combine the experience I had of ‘buying’ software with internally built products and expanded my knowledge of how to optimize integration and workflow. I now am the Vice President of the Procurement Advisory practice at Velocity Procurement in parallel to continuing part time coaching.

Throughout my career, I've continued to grow my skills in procurement as well as parallel experience in change management, program management, stakeholder engagement, data analytics, AI and automation.

  • Family, Friends, Football, Farm

I grew up in Oregon, with an incredible family, and am forever better because of their support, unconditional love, laughter and friendship. I moved up to Seattle for college, working part time, and started going to local sports events with friends. We would go to Seattle Rugby Seattle Rugby matches, and Seahawks football games. I met some amazing people while living in Seattle that remain close friends today. I moved back to Oregon from Seattle, Washington when my first child was 2 weeks old… and we decided to buy a small farm. 😮 Little did I know that a small farm is still such BIG work! We raise grass fed cattle and chickens and also have apple, pear and plum trees and a small organic garden for wine grapes, berries, melons and vegetables.

I stay involved in my local community by volunteering at local non profits and joined the Executive Board of Directors for two: Oregon PTA and Downtown Oregon City Association. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Oregon City!

  • In every experience, I find that my favorite part is when I can help others learn and grow. It may sound like it’s a line, but it’s not - it lifts me up. It is when I have the best days. Seeing someone else learn something new, apply it and enjoy their job was the best part of my day as a leader. As a volunteer for local non-profits, I found myself seeking out opportunities for coaching, and realized why I love this so much. I get to learn too - not once can I recall a time I have helped someone else without growth for myself too. Every single person you meet can help you learn and grow… it just requires listening.. 😊
